Mat is a strategy director in Gensler’s New York consulting practice. He leads the development of strategies for organizations, focusing on: transformation strategy; workplace design guidelines; campus master planning; portfolio planning and workforce segmentation; service and operations design; and mobility strategy. Mat engages with clients to co-create workplace experiences that drive engagement and effectiveness. Working globally across a range of scales and industries, he leads transformations with tailored engagement techniques for unique outcomes.

Each project Mat leads is uniquely tailored to his clients’ goals, with custom approaches to engagement techniques and outcomes. He has worked across all levels of the organizations he partners with—from c-suite visioning to employee-wide surveys and data dives—to garner buy-in from a variety of stakeholders. Outside of Gensler, he lectures at Yale University in Connecticut. Mat has a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Science, City Design, and Social Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
