Mary Garcia is Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging and Talent at Hagerty. In this role, Mary leads the strategy and execution to increase diversity & civic engagement to foster a culture of belonging across the company. In addition, she works closely with Hagerty’s CHRO to shape, maintain and continuously improve the employee experience.

Prior to joining Hagerty, Mary leveraged her skills in talent assessment, learning & curriculum development, recruiting, process improvement, human resources, and DEI consulting to partner with global organizations such as Hilton, General Mills, CPA Global, Lockheed Martin, and Oracle to develop and implement innovative talent solutions that support their diversity priorities and business goals.

Mary holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Texas Woman’s University. She also received her Executive Education Certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Florida Atlantic University and earned her certification in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida-Muma College of Business. In addition, she is also a certified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory, a tool that measures and develops intercultural competence.

She is currently involved in the community by serving on the Keller ISD Education Foundation Board of Directors, Member of Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce, Founding Member of Hacking HR’s Expert Council, Member of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Committee for Traverse Connect, DEI Network for Business Leaders for Michigan, and DEI Connect Leaders committee for the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce.
