Mary Garcia is a seasoned HR leader with over 20 years of experience in Talent Management. She previously served as the inaugural head of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging at Hagerty, where she built the department from the ground up and implemented strategic initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a culture of belonging.
Mary has collaborated with global organizations such as Hilton, General Mills, CPA Global, Lockheed Martin, and Oracle, specializing in talent assessment, curriculum development, and recruitment. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Texas Woman’s University, along with Executive Education in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Florida Atlantic University and a certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from the University of South Florida-Muma College of Business.
In addition to her professional roles, Mary actively serves on the Keller ISD Education Foundation Board of Directors, is a member of the Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce, and participates in various DEI committees, including Hacking HR and the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Mary is also the co-owner of Elite Lighting Concepts (ELC), a family business she runs with her husband since 2013. ELC specializes in outdoor, event, holiday, and permanent lighting, dedicated to creating memorable experiences through innovative lighting designs and exceptional service.
